ATB | The Singles Remixed
This release is so aptly titled, it's hard not to understand what the album is about. This 14-track epitomizes dance/electronic and trance sounds, including '9pm (Till I Come)', the melodic first single which topped the U.K. charts in July 1999. Working under the abbreviation ATB, German remixer Andreas Tanneberger had been working for acts like the Outhere Brothers and Haddaway before striking gold with ׇpm (Till I Come)” The formula of infectious melody and synthesized guitar sound was again used with much success in the follow-up single, “Don't Stop”.
Heard all over Ibiza as its summer anthem, ATB continues to create funky percussion and a feel-good ambience (abet some faltering) with 'Killer 2000' and ' Summer', all of which are featured in this album. Call it commercial trance if you want, but if this artiste managed to get his tracks licensed with the Ministry of Sound Recordings, then he must be something.
