Basement Jaxx | Basement Jaxx
The Bassment Jaxx, who's been around for years, finally come out with their debut album. As the trance phenonmenon seems to spread throughout the Dance scene, Bassment Jaxx seem to re-invent the meaning of House music. Each song posses a unique characteristic to it. Rendez-vous having a very ol skool disco song, while Yo-Yo would be what you track full of bangin beats. Their first single off the album red alert is a very clubby song that has screaming vocals and a repetitive recycle beats. Being with U is always on the play list among everyone from Roger Sanchez to Eric Moriello, this is a slow down, kind of garage feeling track.
Bios
FORMED: 1994, London, England
The production duo of Simon Ratcliffe and Felix Buxton released several of Britain's most respected and enjoyable progressive house anthems of the '90s from their base in South London. Before they met (at a Thames riverboat party organized by Buxton), Ratcliffe grooved to the deep Latin funk of War and George Duke while Buxton was turned on to Chicago house. The pair formed Atlantic Jaxx Records in 1994, and were undoubtedly honored to count among fans of their first release none other than DJ legend and Basement Jaxx influence Tony Humphries, who played Da Underground from the EP on his New York mixshow consistently during 1994-95.
