Relatively old release, but the sounds continue to linger in your mind. This veteran UK DJ, well known for his eclectic house/dance, trance and electronic mixes complement the voices of different singers in this 15-track CD.
Spinning since his 1970s schooldays, with Paul Oakenfold as his hip-hop partner in the mid-80s, his growing reputation landed him with a juicy dance-music show, first on a guest spot and then host in 1991, of the British national station Radio 1. Friday nights at 6pm on “The Essential Selection” with Pete Tong complemented his influence in the British dance-music scene, backed up from his spinning experience, from Ibiza to London. In this CD, look out for mixes of hits by All Saints, Goldie, Jungle Brothers and Karen Ramirez to prepare for the weekend or just a short getaway.
