The last Spice Girl to release her own solo album, Emma Bunton's first effort proved to be quite impressive.
The first single, “What Took You So Long?” bombarded the airwaves with the signature girly vocal of hers. The album has a folksy pop feel which suits her image just fine. The tempo of the album slowly accelerates with the title track, “A Girl Like Me”. Her takes on “Sunshine On A Rainy Day” and “What I Am” are quite alright but it should be left to the original singers.
Anyway, if you don't like the Spice Girls, don't even bother looking at this album.
