“Do you know that bad girls go to hell?” My my,
strong words from a group whom many thought would
be a one hit wonder. But the German lads who brought
us the ever popular “Lemon Tree” in 1996 (which even
saw a Chinese translation by Tracy Su) are back with
a fresh and considerably darker track from their
forthcoming album, “For Sale”.
Three years after the pop-ish single and a not too successful
album “Go And Ask Peggy For The Principal Thing”,
“Suzy” can be considered somewhat sneaky, a delicious
offering by the melancholic five who are strangely reminiscent
of British bands like the Beatles, for one. But do not mistake
that for lack of originality, for the boys have managed to
establish their presence in the scene without having to launch
into anymore fruity tracks. One cannot help but eagerly wait
in anticipation for their album, which should be out anytime soon. |
