So begins the first single, “Rock DJ”,
from Robbie Williams’ latest album,
“Sing When You’re Winning”.
Robbie is definitely having his very own show
with this 12-track album as seen from the album sleeve.
Filled with Robbies, loads of Robbies, it features
Robbie in a whole sequence of pictures themed around
two football teams and a couple of policemen and clubbers.
Pretty unique and definitely Robbie from the first picture
to the end, we see the new image that he is conveying with
this album which is much more relaxed than his previous,
“The Ego Has Landed”, though some of the tracks might sound
a tad similar.
“Better Man” is perhaps a much happier version of “Angel”,
“Rock DJ” is funky and of course, Robbie’s duet with his
most talked about idol, Kylie Minogue, “Kids” is just
simply fabulous. The album that’s been hyped for so long,
with the Bad Brat himself coming all the way to Asia to
promote “Rock DJ”, “Sing When You’re Winning” definitely
lives up to all the hype!
