Listening to the smooth silky vocals of Brian McKnight makes me wanna groove along with him. His platter of pop/R&B tracks suits the whole slow and steady overall feel of the album. “Superhero”, a tribute to the everyday heroes, is also a voyage through the happenings in his life for the past year.
In the title track, Brian McKnight showcases his literally unknown other talent, playing guitars. On that track, he played both guitar and bass, resulted from his admiration for bands such as AC/DC, Van Halen and The Who. In “Don't Know Where To Start”, Brian collaborated with Nate Dogg and Battlecat production. “I dig listening to hip-hop. It's so innovative and being that I live on the West Coast and surrounded by the sound, having Nate and Battlecat represent makes this album that much more personal.”
