Goo Goo Dolls | Ego, Opinion, Art And Commerce
One of America's highly popular alternative bands dishes out an album chock full of singles digitally remixed and remastered from their previous six albums, bringing out some of their other less known sounds. Although the prominent “Iris” (from the movie “City of Angels”), “Broadway” and “Slide” are not present in this release, there are other tracks worth a listen, along with the very melancholic “Name”.
Excitingly personal yet dramatic, this brings you on a soul trip, with stronger electric guitars than their publicised hits. But this does not mask the wonderful talent the Goo Goo Dolls possess in bringing out heartfelt lyrics complemented with firm notes from the guitars and drums. A must-have for those down-and-out days.
